Leadership Forward Series

Public sector leaders are responsible for administering billions of state and federal dollars, setting and managing strategic direction for public services, and navigating the complex web of state government and community relationships. Despite this critical role, there is scant investment in public sector leadership development.

Leadership Forward is a six-part podcast and blog series, jointly developed by the Public Sector Leadership Consortium which includes NAMD, the Center for Healthcare Strategies and the Millbank Memorial Fund.  It explores the application of the Framework for Public Sector Leadership, a competency framework that outlines the domains and skills critical to the success of public sector leaders and their teams. The series explores the application of the framework through conversations with public sector leaders and experts.
