NAMD Highlights Implementation Challenges Associated with Proposed Interoperability Rule
On January 4, 2021, NAMD submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in response to a proposed rule creating additional interoperability requirements for Medicaid health information technology systems.
CMS recently proposed a rule titled “Reducing Provider and Patient Burden by Improving Prior Authorization Processes and Promoting Patients’ Electronic Access to Health Information” [CMS-9123-P] that would add new interoperability requirements to state Medicaid program’s health information technology systems.
