Athenna Harrison joined NAMD in June 2025 as the first employee dedicated solely to events. In this role, she works with the entire team to plan and oversee all events throughout the year, including the fall conference.
Before joining NAMD, Athenna served as the Senior Conference Manager in support of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization at USAID, a freelance meeting planner and graphic designer for the nonprofit PRISMS, and the Associate Director of Meetings at Hemophilia Federation of America.
Athenna is originally from Aurora, Colorado and attended Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia where she graduated with a B.A. in Graphic Design and Creative Writing. She received her official meeting planning certification in June 2021.
