Perrie Briskin is the Deputy Secretary for Health Care Finance and Director of Maryland Medicaid, where she oversees the state’s $14.6 billion health coverage program serving 1.5 million Marylanders. In this role, she leads policy, operations, and financing across the state’s largest public program.
Previously, Perrie served as Chief of Staff for Maryland Medicaid and, before that, as a Senior Advisor to the Director at the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). At CMS, she led national initiatives across reproductive health, school-based health services, and the Medicaid unwinding following the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Earlier in her career, Perrie worked in global health with Population Services International, supporting digital health system implementation in Myanmar and other countries. She holds an MBA and MPH from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College
