Meghan Groen, chief deputy director for Health Services for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, she oversees Michigan s Medicaid program, services for those with developmental disabilities, and long-term care and aging programs.
Previously she served as deputy policy director for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, where she helped create the Healthy Moms Healthy Babies initiative. She also started her own consulting firm, worked for a women’s healthcare provider, and spent several years working in the Michigan legislature.
She received undergraduate degrees from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern.
