Krista Fremming

Krista Fremming is the Interim Executive Director of the Medical Services Division at the North Dakota Health and Human Services. The Medical Services division administers the state’s Medicaid program, which provides health care coverage for low-income children and families, people with disabilities, older adults and pregnant women.

Krista’s professional experience includes roles in Medicaid behavioral health and home and community-based services coverage, chronic disease prevention and management, managed care, human resources administration, community engagement and program development/evaluation. She is a graduate of the inaugural Center for Health Care Strategies’ Medicaid Pathways Program, a unique opportunity designed for senior Medicaid leaders to strengthen their capacity to effectively serve in leadership roles in a complex program like Medicaid. Krista holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Dakota.
