Josh Moore is the Director of the MO HealthNet Division, where he oversees the strategic management of Missouri’s Medicaid program. Since joining MO HealthNet in 2019, Josh has been a key leader in the agency, previously serving as the Director of Pharmacy. In that role, he managed clinical medication management, drug reimbursement methods, and the preferred drug list program, while handling the complexities of rare disease medications and advisory committees. During this period, MO HealthNet launched several clinical initiatives, including improvements to asthma care, Project Hep Cure, coverage for continuous glucose monitors, and participation in the CMMI Cell and Gene Therapy Model for Sickle Cell Disease.
A graduate of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy (2009) and an alumnus of the Milbank Memorial Fund’s Emerging Leaders program, Josh brings a diverse background to his current post. His career spans clinical and community pharmacy practice as well as years of experience managing complex health care IT environments. This unique blend fuels his mission to enable and support access to high-quality care for Missourians in a fiscally responsible and sustainable way. Outside of his professional life, Josh is a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of mid-Missouri, an avid runner, and a dedicated husband and father to two daughters
