Drew Gonshorowski has served as the director of the Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care in the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services since December 2024. In this role, he oversees Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program for the state of Nebraska. His work has focused on program integrity, behavioral health, and systems innovation. Previously, he served as a policy analyst, most recently as a senior research fellow for Paragon Health Institute, and before that with The Heritage Foundation. /His previous work dealt largely with Medicaid and health insurance markets. He also has experience evaluating the effects of reforms on health policy, social security, and retirement issues.
Drew holds a master’s degree in economics from Suffolk University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Hillsdale College.
