Addie Strumolo

Adaline (“Addie”) Strumolo became the Connecticut State Medicaid Director in June 2026. Previously she served as the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Vermont Health Access overseeing Medicaid eligibility, policy, and operations. In this capacity, she also served as the Executive Director of Vermont’s health insurance marketplace. Addie is focused on increasing access to state health care programs. During the COVID-19 public health emergency, Addie’s leadership was instrumental in facilitating continuous health care coverage for Vermonters. Prior to joining the Department of Vermont Health Access, Addie worked for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She holds a Juris Doctor from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stanford University.
