The National Association of Medicaid Directors (NAMD) is thrilled to announce Gretchen Hammer, former Medicaid Director from Colorado, as the organization’s first Senior Strategic Advisor (SSA). Medicaid Directors lead an increasingly complex, sophisticated, and interconnected agency; as the Medicaid program drives delivery system reforms, a well-defined strategic vision is ever more important. Gretchen will work directly with Medicaid Directors and their teams to help them conceptualize and implement their strategic plan, allowing them to execute on their program’s vision.
