NAMD, Sister Agency Associations Send Letter to DOL on FLSA White Collar Exemption

NAMD partnered with the National Association of States United for Aging and Disability (NASUAD), the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS), and the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) to send a joint letter to the Department of Labor (DOL). The letter outlines the state associations’ concerns with DOL’s recent Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) “white collar” exemptions final rule, and the DOL non-enforcement period of this rule through March 2019 for providers of Medicaid-funded services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities living in residential homes or facilities with 15 or fewer beds.
